We move through lots of transitions in life – everything from going away to school, becoming a parent and buying a home for the first time, to moving, changing jobs and approaching retirement. Transitions can be natural progressions in life, imposed on us, welcomed…or not. They can fill us with excitement, curiosity and push us outside our comfort zones, but conversely, they can also be uncomfortable, scary and bring out a range of other emotions.
